I finally got to put a bunch of faces to screen names and handshakes to email addresses. It was a pretty damn cool experience. Scotty and I COMPLETELY sold out of books and we brought a decent bagload of'em with us. People seemed to respond to the book pretty well, which was a great thing to hear. We had one guy who bought one issue Friday and came back on Sat to get the other (thanks camera man guy).

I finally got to meet Ray who was one of my first contacts in my early days here on DA. also stopped by to buy our LAST issue when we were at the Atomic booth.

Our neighbor was pretty fun to bitch and moan with. It wasn't until day two that I realized the reason his art looked familiar was because I actually owned the first issue. You all should pick up his book The Path it's a fun read- Arthurian legend meets Lovecraftian horror. He's a negative fuck but his girlfriend's cool as shit!

On Sunday and I did free sketches for kids under 12 at the AtomicComics/GoldenApple booth. Holy shit-fuck, you've never seen so many Deadpools or CaptainAmericas in your LIFE! It got so bad/busy that in spare moments we would just do extras so we had spares for the next time there was a rush.

Now I also had the pleasure of meeting some of THE coolest motherfuckers on the planet. There must be something in the water down there in the 'Niz. There are some comic booking Arizonians that are just a great bunch of guys.
(and others who's avatar's I couldn't find) We all enjoyed a second floor oasis together- a secret hidden bar with free booze.

It's pretty funny that I had to go to Long Beach to really get to know a bunch of fuckers from Phoenix.


Amidst Tom Jane's drunken PA announcements and the sounds of unprofessional wrestling, there was alot of great art created this last weekend. Hopefully these guys will get to post some of it.

for now I think I'm going to go write some dark fantasy.
