Now that summer has (more than officially) arrived, the Summer issue of Mysterious Adventure Magazine is almost ready. We had planned on packing almost too much awesome into this issue, so we've done a little bit of a reorganization. We've shifted things around and added some stuff that wasn't originally planned as well as pushed some stuff to the next issue.

Maybe if you beg him, he'll post the first page for you.
Scotty's gotta second story in the Summer issue called "Down To Zero!" It's shrouded in mystery even to those involved. That story is inked by the Maniacal Mikey Babinski I even got to get in there and screw up the line art a little with some clumsy tones.
We've got multiple dudes stirring multiple pots out there right now. It's pretty damn cool, I'm starting to know what those big-time writers and editors feel like- I've been getting totally badass page-art in my inbox pretty regularly for a while now...that's the life.
First off, lemme announce the newest member of the MAM Family, Joshua Covey! He and I are tackling a Canadian lake monster story called "The Brokenheart Of Ogopogo." I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I really liked this story once I was done writing it, but now that Josh has got his hands on it, I fuckin LOVE it! His work is phenomenal ANYWAY, but to see him reinvigorate a story that I was starting to think would never see print? Insanely awesome!
It pains me to only show the first 3 pages...but we've gotta save something for the book, here ya go.

You know him, you love him- the Ever Lovin' Evan Shaner (who's knee deep in U-Haul boxes right about now) is treating us to his sequential wizardry with a story called "Raging Sea." It's a continuation (both prequel and sequel) to the "Fisherman's Wife" story from the Spring issue of MAM.
He's treated us with a little peak at what he's got going.

Scotty and I said we wanted to put every genre into MAM. So far we've got action/adventure, pulp, noir, and horror covered pretty well. Now we're hammering out some bonifide Sci-fi, with the help of Derrick West! I knew Derrick was good, Scotty knew Derrick was good. But fuckbeans if this guy went ahead and made us feel like assholes for not realizing HOW good! He, Scotty, and I are working on a story tentatively called "Shipwreck" an allegorical sci-fi bonanza! Rocket ships and rayguns people!

If any of you enjoyed "Just Another Regular Guy" from the Spring issue, then you'll probably dig "Saying Goodbye With Bullets" from the Summer issue. Michael Kasinger exploded on the page providing pencils while Mikey Babinksi (again) provided inks. This one takes a look at Denver Dockry before he had such an interesting look.

We've got pinups galore by some veteran MAM'mer jammers

And sporting a spankin' spiffy back cover

We've also gotta surprise GUEST STAR making an EXCLUSIVE sequential appearance in the Summer issue. This guy is a fan favorite already and we've gotta few pages that you've NEVER seen before....
